An early beam engine built by Fenton, Murray and Wood in Leeds in around 1811 has been rediscoverd in Leeds Armley Mills museum, see https://secretlivesofobjects.blog/2016/09/28/matthew-murrays-beam-engine/. This engine has an interesting history having been at work for 115 years in 1926 and also having been in the old railway museum in York. It would have been built just before the first loco for the Middleton Railway
