Cathedrals Express to Norwich 22/02/18

I did contact someone at the GC to offer our shed and facilites at Weybourne, but by the time I got out of work and got through, the rods were half way to Loughborough

 

Fair play, nice to see the there's goodwill and co-operation out there.

 

We’ve all got to work together and help each other out. Just a shame it didn’t come off on this occasion

 

An update last night on the 5305LA's Facebook page suggests good news with the repairs, with 70013 returning to London early next week ready for its final two trips:
"70013 Status Update
Today, repairs to 70013 were being undertaken with the bearings being refitted to the rods.
The rods themselves are planned to be refitted on Sunday and it is expected that 70013 will return to London early next week".

Well done to all concerned and we hope the two runs next week go ahead as planned.

 

Agree with that but for the diesel shovage that's inevitable of the GWML.

Seen on Loughborough shed's facebook page today that the big end is repaired and Cromwell is ready to run again.
