Born and bred in Cumbria with all the daft and good words for said areas in and around so yes I have LOL

I don’t think you ever know for sure what’s going to be put on the front of a train when you pull up by 10A. It’s always been the way they operate and while we can make imformed guesses, there is never a guarantee. (The only exeption I can think of is 60103)

 

All this and yet there is no comment on 35018's livery!

 

Nobody can see it past all that steam!

 

at least it didnt seem to effect her power, she managed to get to Shewsbury and back in charge of a revenue earning train .

It's well known that Mr Smith doesn't like photographers so it's laid on to hide the locomotive away from them!!!

 

Quite interesting that there were two MNs in action yesterday (See also here) but neither ventured anywhere near the class's historic stamping grounds.

 

All you can really say is that 35018+class 47 seemed to do ok on an untaxing itinerary.

 

Sounding very well yesterday and looking great from the firemans side Hopefully she will save her best for the S&C northbound next month !

 

Lucky they were just light engines at Hartford!

 

What with the 47 that's load c.16 - assume the diesel was doing something even if just taking itself?

They must be fairly happy with her (leak aside) to have let her so far from base, albeit rather flat. Doesn't anyone know if she will fit round the coast, could have a run out Saturday....
