Am I correct in thinking that the new BBC1 Drama on a Sunday night, Ordeal by innocence is filmed partly on the Boness and Kinneil railway?

Spotted coach number 3096 in last nights episode and the only coach 3096 is located at Boness.

Not sure where it was filmed but I was amused to see an LNER sticker on the partition glass of a plum and custard Mark 1.

I was rather concerned when the actor started to walk alongside the train as it pulled away. My PTS training required me to be stationery in a place of safety

    It was on the B&KR.

The props people didn't want to know when we pointed out that the LNER stickers were inappropriate.

The scene alongside the train was managed. It did not match everyday PTS rules but an appropriate assessment had been done and adhered to during the filming.

I’m guessing a steam locomotive wasn’t used for filming? Never saw one in shot so assumed it was diesel hauled with smoke and sound effects

Both sets of shoots used J94 Austerities. The original ones used the loco that currently poses as BR 68007 (originally WD 75254). This loco was unavailable when the reshoots took place in February and NCB 19 ex Comrie Colliery stood in for it.

Smoke generators were used on both occasions. I don't know whether the sound was the original or was enhanced at all.
