Ruddy hell, I have taken two shots so far, and out of a sunny blue sky each time a cloudburst happens, hail in the last one!

Absolutely. Moguls used to take 15 out of Redhill towards Guildford, but that was on a line with a maximum 1 in 96 gradient. The 1 in 50-ish of Evershot is a totally different kettle of fish

I think the NMT is more setup for permanent way and OHLE monitoring. The gauging ‘envelope’ is done by the structure gauging train or SGT that has a spinning laser between coaches. I think the SGT runs around the country monthly.

I think that 35018 might just be completely banned from the Cumbrian Coast completely because NR have the gauging data from then SGT and they must have data of the loco to allow 35018 out on the mainline at all. She is a big loco, 60009, 46233 and 60103 are all out of gauge for the line.

I would be very surprised if WCR would turn out a 'New' locomotive that does not fit on one of their bread and butter, doorstep routes, if 60163 can be made so gauge friendly, so can 35018.

    Are they?

The Coast gauging was not completed for 'BIL' and the other three have not been requested in last couple of years.

Indeed, I thought the appeal of Bulleids was the fact that they are very gauge friendly??

Just seen on Open Train Times maps that GB XI is now en-route to Worgret Junction and Swanage.
31806 and 45212 combination has 'tamed' Evershot and Bincombe Banks satisfactorily it seems.

Gorgeous noise on Evershot and Bincombe from the pair. Sounded good up the bank to Afflington farm too... the U will be a useful little addition to the main line.

Day 8. What's not to like? Slick operating and a great climb of Evershot plus Bincombe. Pity about tomorrow but that's down to other folk.

You don't need sun in a bleak location like that. Good to see you've found out how to increase the ISO!

The 5 was working very hard at Upwey but the U wasn't doing much. Great video clip though with the 5 being fired. Good stills as well. Platforms crowded so just as well we got there early for a decent position. Let's hope the U can be used to bank some DCEs this summer

Just for you Henry - Here's one I did earlier :D

Brightest one I managed on the Kyle run was Attadale.
