    [​IMG] The Tanfield Railway has announced NCB Lambton Austerity No. 60 as the first star guest for their Legends of Industry gala on June 16/17. Still one more visitor to be announced and the railway is expecting up to six locos in steam on an intensive timetable of passenger and demonstration freight. Classic cars, model railways and a real ale bar amongst the other attractions.

    Legends of Industry Gala second visitor! We’re excited to announce that CEGB Dunston Power Station No.15 will be joining us for Legends of Industry on the 16th & 17th June.

    Built in 1942 by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns at Forth Banks in Newcastle, No. 15 has a pure Tyneside heritage. For over 30 years it worked at the huge Dunston Power Station, providing energy for the region’s industry from the height of World War Two into the 1970s. The powerful four-wheeler hasn’t been back to its native Gateshead in over 45 years ... until now.

    No.15 joins us from our friends at the Foxfield Railway.
