Do we know what the locomotive is

 

Seems strange to be called "The Hadrian", when it never really gets near its destination, bar a short spell in Carlisle.

Thought this would be a Tyne Valley tour.....

 

Engineering works on the Tyne Valley line on Saturday stopped the run across that route I believe.

 

LMS 45699 seen at Risehill Tunnel and Aisgill Viaduct .

 

It must be in good nick, blowing off against the regulator.

Typically the sun goes behind a cloud just as 'Galatea' comes round the corner working 'The Hadrian' on the approach to Helwith Bridge, Mick Kelly driving,

Much improved weather as 45699 'Galatea' speeds away from Garsdale with the return leg of 'The Hadrian' to Hellifield, Mick Kelly driving, Martyn Soames
firing and Roly Parker guard.

 

Is it just my opinion or has the Rise Hill shot been spoilt with all the de-forestation?
