Hi I've just come across these 2 lovely stained glass panels depicting some steam locomotives and wondered if there are any other examples of stained glass being utilised like this?

There are examples at Ribblehead station and in "The Works" at the National Railway in York - the latter are particularly numerous and some very complex ones as well.

That's because I pointed out his error, isn't the sign an advert for Virol malt extract?

"Virol malt extract" is that like Marmite? Never heard of that before, nice panels I wonder if the seller has any other similar items?

Virol was very sweet and syrupy and not at all like Marmite. That was over 60 years ago when I was indulged by my Mother. Not sure when Virol ceased production.
In 1971 Bovril, which was the (then) owner of Virol, was taken over by Cavenham Foods. Six years later the Virol brand was sold to Janks Brothers of High Wycombe and finally, in 1979, Optrex bought Virol. Even though the Virol name has disappeared you can still buy Malt Extract from Holland and Barrett apparently made to the same recipe.

There are two variations of Cod Liver Oil and Malt - original flavour and Butterscotch flavour - and at least two different manufacturers. Good chemists, as well as H&B mentioned above, sell it. Always a jar open here. ;)
