Stopped for 12 minutes at Appleby on the return. Does this mean the dispute has been settled?

Yes York can be done as can the CMEs and hoping 35018 will return to Carnforth to do the 23rd June CME. That book has now sold over 750 copies!

Its been reported elsewhere that 35018 will return to Carnforth if loadings dictate an 8P is required. Encourage friends and family to book for 23rd June in that case!

No. 48151 doing the business on the approach to Helwith Bridge with today's 'Dalesman' rail tour to Carlisle, Mick Kelly driving and Frank Chippendale firing.

A mist shrouded Mallerstang forms the backdrop for the return leg of 'The Dalesman' as the 8F works over Aisgill Viaduct Steve Chipperfield driving and
    Martyn Soames firing

Just don't be disappointed if this report turns out to be inaccurate. I'm not saying it is but, as we all know, just because it appears on Nat Pres does not mean it has been decided yet.

An excellent day out today behind 48151. The 8F put in another fine performance both ways on load 12 with some brisk running in places. Stopped at Appleby in both directions with plenty of time for a leg stretch and photographs. The bonus was the use of 37s on the York-Hellifield leg. 37669 from Skipton to Hellifield on load 11 with 37685 on the back was a most excellent start to the day.....

I've no stake one way or the other Peter, but it wasn't only NP wibble that a York - Carnforth path is ready for activation should the need arise. Personally, I'd be surprised if it's needed, given 45699 seems to go like a 7!

No water taken. Stopped short of the water column. Stop seemed to be purely for a leg stretch
