I think that everyone on the thread would like to congratulate you and your team for all the hard work that you have put in over the last few years trying to bring this wonderful locomotive back to life. I remember seeing Esk a week after the fire in the container at the end of the car park, and look at the result! Esk has been wanted back at the railway for some time now after the struggle with motive power, and now we her back the railway is more or less back together after the events of 2013. So, once again, Thank you for your efforts and congratulations

 

I like the gloss black livery - just wish that Samson on the RHDR was back in black!

 

I know it's difficult to explain how she is running in a picture but she is going very well and is basically all I promised for her.

 

Is she still scheduled to run as was said on the Facebook Page for the Ratty

I've just seen on Instagram that Esk is out today, is this true

 

When I went on weekend last night the defective air pump I had it on the bench in parts. What we did not get done was rescheduled for next week

 

Is there any chance Esk will be out tomorrow, as I am going for the day

 

I got her out for test today. I hope she will be out tomorrow for three trips but some of it is out of my hands.

 

Is this on test, or in passenger service

Fantastic to see Esk back in the land of the living .... how are the test runs going? (I take it from the lack of tender monogram that the loco isn't officially back in service yet?) Was there any particular reason it wasn't turned 'full 180' and departed tender first with the train in @Steamie Boxes clip?

Still loving WB's turnout .... that livery is a true work of art. Now the loco's been in service for a bit .... does it 'go' as well as it looks?

 

Esk wasn't turned fully because part of the testing is to complete a 14 mile trip in reverse
