Has it got a place under cover? Hope it stays in chiltern blue, not a bad livery, also reflects the unique history of them

Has there been any recent news on an extension to Wadebridge, or is that now dead and buried?

Cant really see that happening, don't get wrong I would love to see it, would love to see extended to Padstow, but that's never going to happen, and Wadebridge I think that's a dead donkey.

Does anyone have any insights into what will be working the service train that meets the Clan Line charter on June 17th? Hoping for 4247 that has proved to be elusive on previous visits.

Have just had confirmation that 4247 is rostered for that service train on that date, all being well.

Given the interesting gradients on this line it's strange that there doesn't appear to be a gradient profile anywhere to download.

I was under the impression that this plan is still going ahead long term & talks are still ongoing?

These trips into Somerset, Devon and Cornwall are now confirmed.

Details can be found on the Steam Dreams website.

thinking of my recent visit, I had haulage by a 2-8-0t. The last time I had such was on the GWSR and it was a terrible ride, very uncomfortable with for and aft movement. There was none of this on the B&WR, so what have they done different with their loco?

Several possibilities have been discussed on here including altering the amount that the reverser is notched up and not having the coupling to the first coach as tight as is usual.

In addition to a day trip to Looe, just up the line, maybe a mainline registered "bubblecar" might fancy a jaunt in the other direction, along the Fowey branch. :)

Regarding 4270 (just returned to service this week after 9 months out for repairs) we find that the worst hunting starts once you’re up to line speed and then because we’re a flat line you’re on that point of needing very little regulator and so the shuttling continues. bodmin must have a longish cutoff with the Reg open ‘positively’. I’ve got 4270 soon and I’m going to try and see what I can do. (From a crew perspective the ride is lovely!! )
