    Annual Steam Gala - 14th, 15th & 16th September 2018

Our star guest this year is Taff Vale Railway 85, 91 Years after she left Wales for the Northeast she is coming home. Huge thanks to our friends at Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and the Yorkshire Dales Railway for releasing the locomotive for this special weekend!

The home engines will be 71515 'Mech Navvies Ltd.' and 'Rosyth No.1'.

A special timetable will be released closer to the event with freight, passenger and vintage trains featuring.

Any plans for evening trains on any of the days? Looking at attempting to going to this and the DFR diesel gala but am busy in work Friday (will be second week of new job so can't book off!) and busy Saturday until at least 7pm!

Great news and 85 would have been my first choice for the gala.

Fantastic news. She will be a fantastic visitor! Is it just the one visitor this time?

There will be another small industrial loco visiting. We should be in a position to announce it in the next week. It will then stay with us till after Christmas.

We are very pleased to announce our second guest locomotive Hudswell Clarke 1742 "Millom" courtesy of our friends at the Quainton Railway Society.

I can see from Facebook that Bagnall Empress is to take up residence at Blaenavon and will be in action at this event.

Congratulations to all at the P & B looks like a very sensible purchase of a good loco with some years left on the ticket.

    Regards

    Matt

TVR No.85 in action on the Saturday. This was my first time seeing her and I am very impressed. She is one hell of a machine!
