16CSVT engine

Does anyone know, in layman's terms, the difference bvetween a 16SVT and 16CSVT engine, apart from the obvious hp difference ? I've tried a basic internet search without success.

 

The C stands for intercooler, hence the increase in horsepower.

 

In case you didn’t know - The intercooler cools the air from the turbocharger, thus reducing it’s volume. This then allows a greater weight of air to enter the cylinders so a greater amount of fuel can be burned, thus increasing maximum power output.
