Does anyone have any info on loco to be used for this Sunday's Waverley? RTC web site states 60103 (where is 60103 currently?), but I have a few sources say Leander will do all three remaining Waverley's.

In previous years where the steam has originated at York the SSE loco has traditionally been used. There was a spell when steam had to be added at Hellifield due to some "local difficulties" with the LNE brass.
In this case if the train has been sold out as the A3, usually a premium ticket price pertains, so you'd expect 60103?

'Scotsman' will be working this coming Sunday's 'Waverley'; 'Leander' will work the two remaining trains.

If you look on RTC’s website Ian it looks pretty obvious it was going to be FS as the price is £30 dearer than the last two with Leander . Personally if you could still hang out of the droplight I’d opt for 45690 any day at £30 cheaper but that’s just my opinion ;)

If the steam ban has been lifted will 60103 work all the way from/to York on its own?

or with diesel assistance only on the rear??

or with no diesel assistance at all???

The other factor is the load because the A3 has an unassisted limit stipulated.

    No requirement for a diesel.

All the Waverley's 60103 worked last year were load 11 unassisted, so imagine that will be the order of the day.

I wouldn't apologise for the lateness of the video. I think we probably all recognise that this kind of high quality compilation isn't just 'knocked up' in half an hour! There are some truly great angles and locations here. Well worth waiting for.

Superb video. An object lesson in how to handle "typical S&C" weather. The mono (with a touch of colour) treatment is absolutely spot-on, and I echo @Big Al 's comment about the angles and locations.

It's easy, and arguably a good idea, to convert raw coloured video of a steam train in dull weather to black and white, making it more like film from many years ago. Significant additional effort must have been needed to restore those little bits of colour, especially the headboard changing from B&W to colour at 4:31. That seems a gimmick, and it destroys the old film illusion. So why? Just for fun?
