Yup, Geoffrey Snow a good friend, fencing and wagon group volunteer at the Bluebell has informed this afternoon that the scrotes have been up to their usual activities within the last few days, I don.t know any more than that I,m afraid.

    Regards

While we're on the subject of moves, does anyone know if the proposed move of 1881 and the rest from Shoeburyness to Eastleigh is still on for Wednesday 16th July?

Yup - timings are now posted at:

Sorry folks - I was only able to get the timings for the portion of the journey travelling on SWT metals.

Ah well - better than nothing!

1881, 1304 and a few other DTSs... either a ten or twelve car. To be honest I can't remember.

Her permanent home is WD: aided and abetted by the fact that I have to this point spent some £7.56 on super glue, which, liberally applied to the wheels and railhead, will mean that the unit is unable to move!*

    * - At least unitl someone cuts her in, pumps the brake up, takes the handbrake off and applies power. After that we've got problems, but if you could all keep that under your hats I'd be grateful.

And there was me thinking you'd stick it to the rails with "magnadhesion" after installing CDL magnets to all the doors!

Go padlock it to it's siding! Like on a certain Irish line where the staff, refusing to accept their loss, kept running their railcar for sometime after closure until 'the management' chained it to the rails!(I remember reading this somewhere, not personal experience!!!)

Nice idea but it's a Wimbledon unit so even with it cut in you'd still need to assist it
