Hi there, does anyone know what sort of times the on train buffet services operate between? I presume they're not open all night!

I think in part it depends on the volunteers, the catering is usually available during the day and early evening but less so later in the evening although I remember a trip behind Leander where the trolley was still serving at 1.30am, I remember them saying they were on the train so might as well.

I say don't assume there will be any on-train catering after about 8pm. If there is great, if not just bring supplies.

I've no doubt that the two Fish and Chip Shops, the Kentucky Fried Chicken establishment and the numerous Pizza takeaways adjacent to Kidderminster Station will be open pretty late.

Likewise for the pubs and takeaway outlets in Bridgnorth and Bewdley.

Indeed, a flying visit to the chippy opposite the station at Kidderminster is pencilled in.

And no doubt the Stew which has been on the specials board for at least the last 15 years or so (but very nice along with the toasties).
