Many years ago I seem to recall - whilst on a train - passing at least a couple of dead saddletanks rusting in a private site out near North Woolwich, East London. Or at least, maybe another national line near there. They weren't anything to do with the now-gone Museum. I'm sure I asked this years ago in a thread but I cant find the darn thing. I think at least one was a Manning Wardle. Does anyone recall this site? Thanks v much.

They may have been something to do with Rick Edmondson, who owned RESCO Railways and was the owner of MW 0-6-0ST "Charwelton" which I think was restored at RESCO before moving to the KESR.

Two of the Manning Wardles were ex-S&L Dolobran and Rhyl, now at the GCR(N), but there were other locos and stock there too. Ex S&L no. 56, now also at Ruddington, was in working order on the other side of the tracks at the North Woolwich Station Museum and all three had previously been at the KESR

That’s a Peckett, at the museum. The Manning Wardles were in a private yard on the other side.
