Could just as easily be 45596, because @Sidmouth says in Post #26:

"Running in potentially fairly soon , with Stratford and a load test run to Leicester planned . Gauging already confirmed"

True and I have no insight but I think @Johnb is well connected within the BLS.
Knowing the operator might provide a better clue as you would think, if it a VT job, they would want to have 7029 as their first steam operation, perhaps? Or both, as has been suggested.

I'm only connected as a member and my understanding was it would have a good running in period and with West Coast not providing crews for Vintage Trains it would be done at the KWVR. Obviously the largely northern based membership would want to see it back there asap. Things change and the running in may partly be done from Tyseley now they are advanced with their TOC application. Sidmouth has said it all above.

The main line running-in and test-run will be undertaken from Tyseley and operated by WCR. On completion, 5596 will be returned north to Keighley.

Don’t take the dates spotted on RTT as gospel, as there is fair amount of work still to be done.

Indeed and it even saved BLS & Tyseley from the trouble of imparting news of their plans

It looks great. In addition to the 4 liveries there are at least 4 tenders. Fowler snap head rivets. Stanier slab sided (10 off). Stanier 3500 and stanier 4000 snap head rivets. But did any actually have stanier welded tenders in BR service.

I would have expected at least a couple to.

Not criticising at all. My model railway needs all combinations!

You like the little sly digs don't you Danny, I think most of us just say "thank you JS". I don't see BLS or Tyseley being concerned. And WC are very much involved

Folk moan, rant, complain, about no info from 10A, when facts are posted FROM 10A.............we get sly digs. 'you can please some of the people some of the time.....etc etc etc.

You've raised a valid point there, news about 10A is rarer than hens teeth, their choice, yet in this case happy to share other groups news. Whilst I am totally sure the "reveal" was cleared with their clients first (customer confidentiality and all that), perhaps a little whisp of hypocrisy when WC is normally averse to public comment?
Apologies if me making such an observation offends anyone.

Pretty sure 45562 finished with an all welded tender, which IIRC is now behind 5593 at Tyseley?

Are those frames from the tender 5593 was withdrawn with or 5562s? I had an idea it was the former but happy to be corrected?

I think you will find there were seven possible tender variations, 1 Fowler 5.5T 3500gal riveted, 2 similar but without rivet pattern, 3 Fowler high sided 7T 3500 gal, 4 Stanier 13ft WB 7T 3500 gal riveted, 5 Stanier 15ft WN 9T 4000 gal riveted, 6 similar but part welded, 7 similar but all welded. For all the tender individua histories of the entire class I would refer you to the Book of the Jubilees, Irwell Press.
For,the record Bahamas ran with a total of ten tenders during its working life, including six different Fowler examples

No one should be such a snowflake as to be “offended” by your often uniformed comments but you ability to jump in feet-first is nonetheless legion. You aren’t directly involved in main line ops, so you’re not exactly best-places to comment although it doesn’t seem to stop you.

As they say, “better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you a fool, rather than open it and prove it beyond all doubt”.

James, I won't descend to the level of personal remarks you seem to prefer. My remarks might be critical but at least I am able to retain politeness.
I am not involved with any railway related work these days, directly or otherwise, nor have I claimed to be, but then my comment was not about "operations". Nothing I post ever claims to be gospel, I simply take part as many others do in "idle speculation" on this "chat" forum.
I was therefore prompted to comment by the rank hypocrisy of your "share", given your regular grumbles when folk dare to speculate about WC related matters yet here you seem to be telling the world what is happening for another group. Where has this openess been in the past regarding WC loco test runs for example? Can we look forward to news from you about 61306 perhaps?
In fact I actually respect the "secrecy" about your employers business you generally resolutely maintain, even if I don't really always understand the need, but it is definitively "your business". You are uniquely well informed but I only detect disdain from you towards those who might have a general interest in hearing about WCs fleet and plans, which is a huge pity.

    Whatever.....

I corrected the facts of your speculation, which is hardly hypocrisy.

As far as WCR is concerned, you clearly mistake not saying anything for secrecy - the two are not the same but obviously it upsets you and you hardly respect it either.

On reflection it’s probably better that, like many others, I cease posting on here.
