There is a gentleman on FB who keeps commenting on the various NNR related pages that he believes the 7F doesn’t belong in Norfolk lol.

Hurrah again for the Holt footbridge, very much needed as it will save an awful lot of legwork by passengers and the station volunteers. I am there Saturday, does anyone know if we can park at the farm at Weybourne ?

I've done the sprint at galas...and made the train departing as mine arrived, to many cheers...but also to the feeling of a heart attack nearly solicited. I'm sat on the train to Norwich and will plan to have comfortable connections at Holt...next time though...with the footbridge...the galas will be even better

Indeed, although I suspect that at Galas, the footbridge will be full of people photographing or just watching the trains ... just like the footbridges on nearly every other heritage railway.

I noticed at Holt yesterday there is a turntable that they plan to install, does any one know where they are going to fit that in?

The NNR home fleet offering is still worth the trip for me, though I do like anything East Anglian in particular.

Think the plan is to acquire extra land at Holt to install it.

no wanting to re-open a can of (there's probably another thred on the subject) but i was very surprised about the lack of ticket checks onto the platform. Presumably the NNR don't sell platform tickets? plenty of begging bowls around however! All in all a good day on the trains on Friday. Not sure if i would prefer less train sets and more loco swaps though? as others have probably pointed out, insufficient time to swap trains at each end. For me this meant long waits at each end - often longer than the journey time!!! As previously noted, hopefully Holt footbridge will ease the situation :)

NNR don't sell platform tickets, they used to, presumably, the cafes and shops benefit from walk-ins and perhaps they make nearly as much in donations from walk-ins too. The loos are shared with the public at Sheringham also.

I loved the intensive timetable but agree that fewer trains with an extra 5 minutes turnaround and run to time would actually give people the possibility to change when they want to including at Holt when the footbridge goes in. If there is no footbridge next gala then an extra 10 minutes instead...and either onboard catering or hot rolls available at Holt are needed too.

All that said, I had a lovely day yesterday and I think it was great value £15 minus 10% for members. The loco fleet is interesting without incomers and a subject close to my heart, real coffee is available at all stations and the breakfast bap I had at Sheringham was delicious.

Had a good day yesterday. Agree that the opportunity to change trains at Sheringham or Holt without a 20 to 40 minute wait would be nice. I hoped that the bridge at Sheringham would cure this but it hasnt, as I am usualy about half way across when the next train departs. Just holding for 5 minutes to allow passengers to change would end this frustration particularly at a gala like yesterday where trains are not full to overflowing.

Still a great gala though. Already looking forward to my Xmas period visit.

I thought it was a good gala and there seemed to be a decent number of people about on Friday and Saturday. Sunday was quieter but that is unsurprising given the weather. Hopefully it made a bit of money.
