Timings for 70000 Britannia's test runs this week are as follows:

Thursday 18th October:

Kidderminster SVR: 10.26
Stafford: 12.58
Crewe: 13.32

Friday 19th October:

Out.

Crewe: (09.30)
Arr. 10.01 - Dep. 10.06
Chester: Arr. 10.35 - Dep. 10.42
Shrewsbury: Arr. 11.41 - Dep. 11.46

Return.

Shrewsbury: 13.17
Stafford: 14.23
Crewe: 14.53

Please note that these are test runs and that they could be subject to last minute changes, cancellations and / or delays without notice.

Class 47 No. D1924 (47810) passed Stafford this morning working from Crewe to Kidderminster SVR with a support coach presumably in connection with tomorrow's test run with Britannia.

Beware folks. It seems that the test run for 70000 from the SVR today has been cancelled. This was the reason on RTT when I went to check her progress:

This service was cancelled throughout due to a request by the customer (FL).

What does the FL mean? Failure?

 

FL = Train cancelled at FOC request or planned not to run.

Saying on Twitter "delayed leaving SVR - will let you know when we know more"

 

I saw a comment on the SVR f/b page that the batteries on the electrical gubbins were flat and had been put on charge.

Today's test run from Kidderminster to Crewe will now be tomorrow (Friday 19th October). This will run to the same times as originally planned for today:

Kidderminster SVR: 10.26
Stafford: 12.58
Crewe: 13.32

The loaded test runs originally planned for tomorrow will now be next Tuesday and Wednesday - again with the same times as originally planned for tomorrow:

Out.
Crewe: (09.30)

and before anyone inquires, it fell into the category of 'preventative maintenance' but we still felt it prudent to undertake a test run - which was 100% successful and fault-free.

 

So unless RTT is running ghosts round the network again something (Britannia?) has moved from Kidderminster:

and now confirmed in someone else's Facebook post, from Stafford, that Britannia + POB + 47810 did move on the mainline today

And going well on the WCML approaching Cranberry.
Had everything gone to plan yesterday then today would have seen the loaded test run -- that's life !

45407 and 45212 + Jacobite ECS on Saturday. Probably diesel assisted from Craigendonan Jc onwards.
