I understand the ‘Railway Touring Company’ headboard and wreath worn by 6233 yesterday was for Mr Nigel Dobbing of the RTCo who sadly passed away this week.

 

Carried today too.

 

Does anyone know how along is 2857 and 4270 are staying at the ELR for please?

 

4270 end of year ,2857 would guess possibly next weekend too.SVR will require for santas.

 

Ok thanks very much for that. I hoping if both locos are running next weekend that's all?

 

Am advised that 4270 until end of year, 2857 is this weekend only due to being required back at SVR urgently.

Hope it was busy Friday /Saturday then as today's loadings don't appear to justify a mainline and four low loader movement costs for 6233 and 2857.

 

I just watched a video on YouTube of Saturdays proceedings and was struck by how empty the trains looked. And 4270 is another visitor to be paid for even if it is staying longer.
