Just for a change we are closing a station on Sunday November 4th. The temporary platform at Corwen East will see its last train on Sunday afternoon & will be dismantled in the following weeks. The construction of planking on a scaffolding frame will disappear without trace.
The new permanent station is well advanced & will hopefully be open in the spring of next year.
The ex - Weston Rhyn signal box top is now on its new base at Corwen & this has allowed work to start on the east end pointwork. The last section of platform face will then be built & the infill & paving completed.
To keep up with the team's progress the website www.corwenstation-new.co.uk is updated monthly.
The average age of the building team is currently 66 years, so if anybody would like to help please feel free to come along.

    Bob.
