Does anybody have any knowledge of the current status/whereabouts of the Milner Engineering 7 1/4" L&B Manning Wardle YEO that was previously at Buckfastleigh/Gorse Blossom/Poplar?

It may have visited Woody Bay on the L&BMR in recent years, although that may have been a different example.

    Any information much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Martyn

Yes Yeo has twice been sold by Mike Palmer at Station Road Steam, second time round only last year. I suspect she is in private hands, although I have no idea where. She was previously seen at the Mizens Railway in recent years.

Yeo is now based at the Colne Valley Railway, she was brought from a private railway in Devon.

L&BR Manning Wardle engines are very popular and there are several 7¼” locomotives in existence.

The loco built by former L&BR Trustee David Bradbury for use at Mizzens Railway in Woking is I’ve just been informed, still resident at that site.

The 7¼” loco which visited Woody Bay about 8 or 10 years ago was at that time owned by Stuart Wells, a former L&BR CME.

Stuart's Yoe was the former Gorseblossom engine and was indeed sold on via Station Road
