**UPDATE**

• 8F 48305 due to return after overhaul: The major overhaul of popular Stanier Class 8 48305 is almost complete and the loco is expected to appear at the Last Hurrah, subject to completion of the final parts of the overhaul work.
• Black 5 45305 due to return after repairs: Repairs to Stanier Class 5 45305 are also nearing completion, and this loco is also hoped to be in service at the event.

 

Is 70013 going to be at the steam event at the end of January?

 

No it boiler ticket expires at the end of December, I believe?

It has been announced on the GCR Website that 48305 is now unlikely to appear at the 'Last Hurrah' as the 8F is still in the final stages of its overhaul.

 

That's right, it should be running for the Winter gala in January?

Does anyone have any insight into 47406's brief appearance on set D which apparently stands for Stable in down platform...! Thanks.

All loco's are facing South yes and 47406 is Loughborough station pilot/Dining Train locomotive but does work the Vans to Swithland at the end of each day.

Looking at Saturdays timetable, they have managed to put 70013 on both the van train and the mineral wagons as well as passenger work, so that will give a bit of photographic variety!

 

The GCR Facebook page has been updated with an image of 45305 just rolled out after the repairs. Looks fantastic. Fingers crossed for the steam test and other checks, so she will be Ok for the weekend...https://www.facebook.com/gcrofficial/posts/2095380703856948

 

45305 shown as passing its steam test yesterday on their Facebook page, so OK for this weekends event.

 

Anyone know if 45305 is going to be recertified 4 main line running again by the 45305 society?

 

Yes 45305 will be out on the mainline next year and 45305 only had boiler repairs so she didn't loss her mainline certificate.
