Can't find a thread for this one; I do hope that the issues on the GW at West Ealing and Southall won't affect the ECS for this :Nailbiting:

the ECS is listed as 13L at Wilsden West London Jnc, so a minor effect that they can hopefully make up

Look like that incident is a derailed (but still upright) Class 387 Unit (GWR 387 146)

Not the blue skies and sunshine which greeted 70013 when it visited Sussex last year, but as this is our one and only whiff of main line steam in this part of the world, I decided to brave the drizzle and go down to Endlewick Farm Crossing, between Berwick and Polegate, to see 44871 pass through. She looked great and was running more or less to time - a lovely spectacle in spite of the gloom and rain, although I didn't bother with a photo.

You take what you can get, I think the mist is quite atmospheric.

Merstham tunnel this morning. Looks like it was put ahead of late running 1R24 Victoria - Reigate, hence the spirited running.

I was waiting with about 6 others by the Ouse Valley viaduct and it certainly looked impressive, hopefully some better photos / videos from this location will surface. The other purpose of the visit was to catch the stone train on the Ardingly spur although it appears to have departed earlier than the advertised 0923
