92212 sounds good going up Medstead bank I wonder what 92134 would sound like storming up Medstead bank considering it’s a single chimney 9f.

 

92212 on the Alresford set and 41312 top and tailed with class 47 on the Alton set. Nice to see someone putting a bit of tinsel on 92212.

Any ideas on what's likely to be in steam between Christmas and new year? 41312 & 92212 as per pre-Christmas? Roster on the website doesn't look like it's been updated since October.

Just got a new pair of glasses the other week. With any luck we will see a bit more of 47579 next year on some diesel running days.

As much as I too don't like boxes - don't knock it, we need it, and at present its the only one we've got.

If anything goes tits up, without one, we're stuffed!

 

If you don’t like it’s current livery what about Scotrail with a blue stripe. Now that would get my vote.

I’m sure someone could post a photo of a Scotrail 47 just to show you how good they look.

Would go nice with Lion.
Maybe we could brighten up a few of the MK1s too.

 

Some years ago the railway had a few mk2’s in NSE livery. 50027 Lion on five/six mk1’s or mk2’s would bring back a few memories of Waterloo to Exeter services.

 

Wot - and pretend its on a running in turn from Crewe?......

They got that far south, but I doubt one ever saw the inside of Eastleigh!

Nope, to fit in properly it has to be two tone green with small warning panels.
