According to the lastest post on FaceAche by the MNLPS, the UK Railtours trip to Exeter is postponed from 29th June to 10th Aug, and this trip on 10th Aug will be rescheduled, date TBC. The postponement is due to "Operating Difficulties", which could mean anything ;-) Hopefully, @derby2 or one of the other MNLPS insiders will be able to fill in some of the gaps later.

Yes, unfortunate certainly that we have had to re-date the train, but unavoidable in this instance. Actually "operating difficulties" does accurately cover the two insurmountable problems, they being :
    1) There is a major public 'Military event' taking place in and around Salisbury on 29/06, in connection with Armed Forces Weekend. This will bring large crowds, road closures and involve many 'security measures' in Salisbury on that day, as well as the possibility of additional trains into Salisbury station.
    2) DBC subsequently advised that they would have great difficulty in crewing the charter on that day, due to the significant amount of engineering train work they are committed to on that weekend (which constitutes a significant part of their 'bread & butter' income of course).
