    A quick update on Bridgnorth:
The new toilets are now open and are looking very smart.
The Buffet building is almost finished, just moving and installing some equipment to go. It should be good for February half term.
The car park is mostly there. There was some work required on the exit road and general tidying up.

A short video of yesterday's action. Enjoyed seeing 7714 on the diner up Eardington Bank. 2857 was another highlight, surprising me with a rather explosive performance up to Orchard Crossing. What a noise! I hope you enjoy the video :)

A small offering from yesterday's running. While the visit was mainly to film 75069, the highlight, for me, was 7714 charging up Eardington Bank with the 15:20 Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. I hope you enjoy it! :)

Rather typically I was sat in sun right until the train swung around the corner into view - the train arrived, the sun departed o_O

Whilst waiting for '69, the late lunch made a spirited fly past...

It looks as if the SVR need to be educated about Southern headcodes, lamps and discs don’t go together!

Posibly they only had twe disks so had to use a lamp for the third. I knew if I lokked in my library I would find an example "British railways the first 25 years - vol 6 p 162" T9 on milk tanks 2 lamps and one disk

I would have a trawl through flickr or other photo websites or even books. Discs and lamps were used together all the time.

That’s what I meant about educating the SVR, highly unlikely with a set of passenger coaches

That’s the late SR code but I don’t think they changed much into BR days. 3 disc codes aren’t especially common.

I believe BR used the codes introduced by the SR in 1944

It also means London Bridge to Brighton via Oxted, Eridge, and Lewes. Trouble is that I dont think tender engines were common on this route, mostly tanks

Dave. 75s were common on this route along with 80 tanks.

According to this it could be:

§ London Bridge or Bricklayers' Arms and Brighton via Redhill
Oxted and Brighton via East Grinstead (LL) and Lewes
West London line to Norwood Yard via Thornton Heath
Portsmouth Harbour or Portsmouth & Southsea to Fratton Loco
Old Kent Road Spur and Brighton
via Mitcham Junc, Horsham and Steyning
Victoria or Holborn to Dover via Nunhead line and Maidstone East
    Charing Cross and Cannon Street
Charing Cross or Cannon Street and London Bridge
Parcels and empty trains Waterloo to Clapham Junc
    (Kensington sidings)
Feltham Yard and Neasden via Kew East Junc
Portsmouth Harbour or Portsmouth and Southsea to Fratton Loco Depot
    Exeter Central and Exmouth Junc
    Bournemouth West to Dorchester
    Clapham Junc and Guildford
    via East Putney and Cobham
    Southampton and Salisbury via Redbridge
Alton and Eastleigh or Southampton Terminus (pull and push trains)
Southampton or Salisbury to Neasden via Chertsey (as from Basingstoke)
Reading to Neasden via Kew East Junc

§ Includes Charing Cross, Cannon Street and Holborn via London Bridge

As it was a Dover based engine it could therefore be:

Victoria or Holborn to Dover via Nunhead line and Maidstone East
