Looking in Chrome, 2 second segments with up to 7 second freezes

 

The platform had to be on that side of the track because the 'town' side was full of goods sidings associated with the harbour.

 

Of course being on the 'wrong side' means that the trains are displayed to their best advantage

 

Minor nit, perhaps of interest to some; they are actually siblings, both based on the Boeing 367-80 prototype.

Perhaps somebody belatedly worked out the fuel consumption. If my memory is correct the Yellow cats had fuel and oil guzzling British origin engines. The replacement cats were about 3kts slower with MTU and it was stated at the time saved over 20% in fuel and oil consumption. Rather similar to savings on the Incat Cross Channel Cats when MTUs appeared on those and the HST when the awful Paxmans were at long last consigned to the scrap heap.

A bit early. IKB was born on the 9th April.

Unless of course they're referring to the railway's mascot, Brunel Beagle.

 

It is half term and most other lines are able to earn money running trains. As the WSR cannot run trains at present maybe the PLC has found some attraction to get a few coppers into the tills.

Steve Edge of this parish would know but as I've not seen it on his site I guess its been cancelled but he would know for sure.

On another subject, the refurbished spare GWR tender frame was I've been told moved to Williton with 9351, is that part of the 9351 rebuild as I've not seen it written anywhere? The tender frames of Odneys tender are worn out and Odney has I believe 9351's tender at the moment (if I've got that the right way round) and as it was planned to be cheaper to use the spare I'm assuming its being done by Williton as well ?

 

That event is not happening. But wait...there's very good news as the Buffer Stop Shop and the Turntable Cafe at Minehead Station will be open

Wouldn't enter their heads to state Cancelled (if it has been) on the event web page ........

 

Perhaps they'll use the space to promote the WSR/CAMRA Beer Festival

 

...and this news will help the PLC recover the £100 Ks of lost revenue? Oh, sorry forgot my rose tinted glasses .

Seriously though, communication just isn't in their vocabulary is it. Whether it goes ahead or not there's nothing there giving details either way

 

Meanwhile the 9351 blog has again stalled. It is a culture throughout the WSR family that has to change.

 

Updating a blog on a regular frequent basis is a bigger job than it might seem.
