I think you'll wait a long time, none of this is actually happening in the world of 6201's committee We'll just ignore it and it should just fade away. Come on committee wake up and get real, some people actually care what happens to 6201.

Spotter has hit the nail on the head. Wake up committee and smell the coffee. We want leadership and explanations.
To you people who are talking rubbish about trolls, 6201 is important to those who work with, and care about Lizzie. Keep your playground nonsense out of this.

To Spotter, Station Master, Platelayer and the other new recruits: welcome. We hope your contributions will be enlightening, entertaining, and well thought out. I'm sure you'll understand if some of us are a little suspicious when someone's first postings look a little argumentative, especially in a thread that has already raised a few hackles. Perhaps you'd like to introduce yourselves, so we can get to know you better?

  8. Indeed i think some form of introduction is needed

Does anyone know if anyone has been working on 6201 since she arrived back at Crewe? Also has anything been done to start raising funds to help towards repairs?

I had a long conversation with the chairman of 6201 Society yesterday . Offers of help are gratefully received and please contact him at the address earlier in the thread. Much of what has been posted is sadly pure trolling but I hope that you will respect the contents of our conversation are private at this point .

There you go then, hopefully all this interest in Lizzie will lead to an influx of new interest and blood, as all of those who are concerned now have the opportunity to spend some time working on the loco and hear directly from the group what their future plans are.

There is an interesting report in the latest issue of Heritage Railway (out tommorrow) which explains the current situation with 6201.

Having read the article in HR (assuming what we read is true) I think some apologies from some of those posting on this thread are due.

On the contrary, I think that if you were to speak to Mr Kerry himself, it would appear that the 'Chairman' has made a huge U-turn, or that Wilcox has got it wrong, trust me, I have spoken to Roy myself tonight and he is 'gobsmacked' by Wilcox's article.

Lets hope that the future of 6201 is secure and that we see this fine locomotive doing what she does best before her ticket runs out and thats hauling main-line charter trains.
