Watford Miniature Railway 60th Anniversary - 27 & 28 April

The Watford Miniature Railway will be celebrating 60 years of service with an Anniversary Weekend on the 27th & 28th April.

• Intensive service on the railway with resident locomotives, a few visitors from the past, and maybe even a surprise new resident!
• Exhibition showing the history and development of the railway
• Entertainment over the weekend including live music and, of course, a grand birthday cake cutting

Trains running from 11am both days

Fantastic. Gutted I'm working away as I grew up a five minute walk from Cassiobury Park back in the 90s. It is great going back and seeing Marie chuffing away after so many years. Wonderful to see so much love and enthusiasm for the railway.

 

We're really pleased to have got Marri back running and she's proving popular with the public - the most asked question now is "when's the steam engine running?". If you haven't seen Chiltern Shuttle (now owned by two of the drivers from the 90s/00s) is in the works and should be back with us next year. Other steam and other improvements in the pipeline as well!
