From tweet by SD "We’ve now received confirmation that next Thursday’s trip - our first of the year, and first with Mayflower since her overhaul - will be running no diesel assistance!

Not so sure, as the timings I've received state 61306+47/57 double headed + 12 (incl support coach).

If it is load 12 it's pretty much a certainty that the B1 won't be allowed out unassisted. Talking to the WCR crews when Mayflower ran under its last ticket, 10 was the max they expected to take 'unassisted', especially if there were any significant banks. Takes too long to get up to speed with more.

Agree with that over the load and we also need to remember that 'up to speed' means 70 mph with Mayflower.

The load has been reduced, in line with the capabilities of the B1, and it will not therefore be double-heading with a diesel; the Notice, to which Shaggy refers, has not been altered.

Arriving in Salisbury 13 late. A delayed arrival to allow the sun to come out! [IMG]
