Northbound times. On its way it seems, more or less to time.

Having been reported through Kettering it would seem to be well on it's way..

That a bit vague . It's either RT, late, or early.
If I can unravel the TP Express timetable and find a train from Dewsbury to York I'm thinking of having a ride over to see it.

What charter crews often do is look at the timings and then make their own decisions about how to manage the train around the path given, hence my 'vagueness' as you describe it.

So, it was on time at Kettering but late away yet may well be RT again by Melton Mowbray. RTT is only the plan. In practice crews may deviate from that, as does NR of course.

@Victor, direct trains to York from Dewsbury are at 55 minutes to the hour, eg 10:55, etc. Other trains need you to change at Leeds.

C'mon, surely they are given the timings and they must be required to run as close to the agreed times as possible. They can't just give the 'plan/times' a cursory glance and please themselves what they'll do.

Well done in finding the spot where the wires ran out!

Not my intended location. Went to Mill Road to get the ‘classic’ shot through Wellingborough station, only to find they’ve built a sodding great bridge which completely obscures the station!
This was the shot I was hoping to get:

Actually that's what they sometimes do....... For example the Surrey Hills Pullman always leaves Shalford ahead of booked time if it can.

I went out for a couple of shots today beyond the Kettering water stop as the Midland Mainline is now a write off with all the cobwebs going up. The usual happened, Harringworth Vaiduct was bathed in sunshine until ten minutes before the train came although the strong wind was against the exhaust. Second shot was just north of Manton Junction, not where I wanted to go but the only place where it was sheltered from the wind, looks better in b/w.

Duchess of Sutherland crossing the River Soar near Loughborough this morning. Usual situation, the sun disappeared just as the train was coming.
