Interesting view at Hadnall - be scuppered if the hedge hadn't been recently trimmed! I tend to like that bridge for trains heading north

It wasn't the original plan but I thought I'd have quick look and found the hedge trimmed - could still have done with my steps though. There was a time not so long ago the hedges were so overgrown you wouldn't get a car down the lane.
It is a nice shot for northbound trains, may have a look onWednesday depending on what turns up from Carnforth.

Anyone know if Tornado is still at Stratford, or is real time trains just not recording the turning move?

Just an observation. Notice that Tornado went LE to turn rather than take its support coach that I see was on the rear of the train going down so that it could be behind Tornado on the way back. This all could be the DBC safety case at work where you don't propel a coach. Interesting to see the differences between TOCs.

IIRC, last time I saw Tornado visit S-U-A it also turned light engine without the support coach.

I did recall correctly, but it was a few years ago, December 2011.

There was a time not that long ago where the Hadnall end was so pot holed and rough that it was an adventurous drive in the Landy, especially when it was wet 'cos the worst of the holes were hidden under water!
...and the lane on the other side of the bridge was roped off by the farmer and knee deep in mud from taking his cattle back and forth across it constantly.

'twas quite nice then because you'd have the place to y'self! :)
They seem to have filled the worst of the pot-craters and made it drivable in a car again now ('bout time).

Tornado this morning, drawing the crowds out as it passes through Wellington(Shrops), chime whistle wide open, and then sounding good climbing the bank towards Albrighton after the water stop at Cosford goods loop. IMG_6918.JPG IMG_6947.JPG
