East Somerset Railway Spring Gala 2019

ESR's Spring gala will be over the weekend of 23/24 March 2019.
46447, 5637 and 1719 'Lady Nan' should all be in operation subject to the usual caveats. Note that this will be 5637's final spring gala before she is withdrawn for overhaul. The shed and workshop gallery will be open as usual from where the rapid progress on 5239's overhaul can be seen. It will also be the first time you'll be able to see 'under the bridge' towards Merehead in 4 years.

Would’ve gone down on the 23rd but the 50s are going down Penzance

 

just returned from a morning at the East Somerset railway the line has certainly improved nice coaches and a lot of lineside clearance opening up views from the train the ivatt on 3 coaches looked splendid in the spring sunshine the freight was a nice length as well.

Just a pity 5637 broke a spring and the 1500 from Cranmore was caped.
