Back nearly on topic, how many of those ridiculing Mr Hosking and this private trip have been on, or will be booking on, an LSL operated tour?

Will it be postponed if there is a delay in Brexit?

Me? Never, he only supports Brexit because he would be under less financial oversight out if the EU, and his hedge fund will make more money short selling in the resulting financial crisis. So no, I won't be on one of his trips

I will happily eat in Wetherspoons or a use Saphos trip, because the product is good - doesn't necessarily mean I agree with the owner's beliefs or principles. Neither should we think the staff or volunteers share their views too.
Whilst I strongly disagree with Mr Hosking's take on Europe (& yes he probably will get significantly richer as a result), I would happily shake his hand and thank him for what he has done for the steam movement.
Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson on the other hand..

Never seem to have any problems with the ones at Carlisle and Scarborough.

Holmes Chapel viaduct is probably your best bet. Bit of an awkward time of day lightwise for that line. There's probably more but I can't identify any easily from Google Maps.

Had a look on Google Maps, I'm not sure if there is a hill that over looks the viaduct at Holmes Chapel? I've found a look further up the line, and there's a spot near Goostrey station. I've got 6 more days to investigate further before making a decision.

I think the clue to which loco is being used on this train is in the title. Incidentally the word is "Charabanc"

'Actually' it was a horse-drawn or motorised open bus.

    Not a train.
