    Hey there.

Fingers crossed, I'm about to be lucky enough to join the exciting trade of Boiler Smithing.

I wonder if anybody could help me please regarding ' Public Liability Insurance'.

    Where / Who / What / How?

    Many thanks in advance :)

Public liability or professional indemnity insurance? Public liability is usually for premises and damage you could cause through your activity. Professional indemnity is for personal protection from genuine professional mistakes.
I know very little but when setting up as a professional consultant we were advised to become 'men of straw' to avoid losing our house. This was 20 years ago now so it may be different.

Probably best to go through a broker for something so specialised, at least for the first year to ensure you get everything you need.

Thanks @GWR4707, I know somebody else who does exactly that supposedly. But trying to get details of who / what, is like pulling teeth.

Online searches produces naff all, as it's obviously a specialised subject area.

Anybody any suggestions please (perhaps you know somebody who is already in the business.) ?

My starter might be how exactly are you joining the trade of boiler smithing?

Are you a boiler smith who is becoming self employed?

Are you training as a boiler smith?

An obvious starting point might be whoever employs.trains you.

    Failing that the HRA
