415 tons. Reasonable load. After overhaul I guess crews are in no-man's land with Lizzie and water consumption, and rightly not prepared to risk there being no more delays. Shame about the Appleby situation. Thought that had been resolved.

Well we were away on time from Carlisle, and then had to stop!
I think they may have been fitting the tail light!

very well once signaling at Hellifield had been surpassed, sounded great at Ribblehead, could hear it coming from just passed Horton, know that cos cafe guy has camera on Horton on his phone via wifi.. really worth going there.

only found out you can check rtt/etc surf web etc using wifi in waiting room and its free, forget wich name it goes under but someone wil remind me.

Because of the points problem at Hellifield the service train was unable to pass us as per the plan, so the fact it got delayed behind us must surely be totally down to NR.

Rather nice at Garsdale on the northbound run, not so great at Ribblehead on the return, she just rolled off the viaduct and through the station, I guess they are not pushing the engine today. Great to see her back.
