Are there any heritage lines that run nightrider events nowadays?

I know ELR have done them but it was a few years ago now, GCR did one for New Years and RH&DR has done them in the past.

    Thanks in advance.

Tal-y-llyn have done them too. Trying to sleep in a carriage the size of a garden shed rattling through the Welsh hills in the middle of the night is an experience!

    Don't forget SVR autumn gala.

SVR Autumn steam gala, the trains often fill up so you end up sleeping in somebody places, but both public and off duty staff frequent these trains so always a good place for interesting conversations

Heres me reading the title of this topic as a hasselhoff themed event!
If you intend on riding on the SVR or any overnight trains. Bring air freshener. They can get rather pungent.

The ELR nightrider events have been scrapped permanently sadly due to some younger enthusiasts getting a bit drunk.

Think from what I heard some stock was damaged & the individuals concerned earnt themselves bans from quite a few preserved lines.

All I can add to this is that I’ve just booked a day’s annual leave so that I can volunteer to open a signal box at 05:30. Eek!
