SRPS Railtours: 2019 Steam Programme

Any update on 60103?

 

If there is a problem which can't be fixed (I'm not suggesting there is) my helpful colleagues in our Railtours department will let everyone booked know when it has been confirmed to them. Little point in asking for daily updates when the answer may not be known!

 

I'm really worried! I'm booked on it on Sunday and I hope it's ready.

 

Not actually a matter of life and death. You never ask in a polite way, say please or thank you. In fact you are becoming a pain.

 

SRPS only previous FS excursion was 19 years ago. It's hard to get a place on one of its trips so if it doesn't run on Sunday I might not get another chance. It's not a matter of life and death as you say but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be disappointed to say the least if the tours are cancelled.

 

Please give it a rest! Believe it or not the SRPS want the tours to run too; they're going to provide a very reasonable amount of funds for the ever growing list of projects we are undertaking. Constantly asking whether the locomotive is ready isn't going to change anything.

I am probably panicking because there is nothing showing on rtt yet about the move south from Inverness. I really should know better as there will not be times uploaded to rtt due to trespass risk. Once again I apologise for any offence or inconvenience caused.

Could someone please tell me if they have any inside information if there is any more SRPS steam tours this year and if so where are they to?

The Autumn programme is being worked on at the moment, so details will be announced during the summer if any new tours have been scheduled.

You will have to curb your impatience and wait for the formal announcements.

 

If it’s confirmed, it’ll be posted. If it’s not, then there’s no point announcing it and watching speculation about nothing... there’s a reason people in the know don’t say anything out of place.

 

Could someone please tell me which black 5 will be used on the borders specials in August? Would like to see 45212 as it has not been used yet on that route.
