Yes you're right Jonny weather was fantastic and the scenery unbeatable anywhere on the mainline in Britain

17/05/2019 - LNER B1 - 61306 "Mayflower" racing south on the WCML at Brock with day 9 of the "Highlands and Islands" steam tour

With a well weathered appearance, B1 61306 'Mayflower' works the final day of the 'Highlands and Islands' rail tour through Bay Horse back to London, Ron Smith

Strange seeing B1 under the wires

 

Poking the lens through the palisade at cloudy Cathiron, the B1 rolling past with double yellows up ahead.

 

A video of its passage through Stafford. The planned pathing stop here was omitted, which meant I only captured it's approach...
