Here are the times for this Sundays tour to Lincoln and York with 44871, with steam to York only. Looking forward to this as it will be my first tour in a number of years.

? between Saxilby and Gainsborough Lea Road? I don't think the running time there is 34 mins. It seems RTT doesn't necessarily show these stops if they are not at some place the system recognises. See discussion on the Fellsman, 29 May.

    Enjoy :)

I *nearly* bought a seat on this as I saw seats were available even yesterday but remembering I have to be up early for work tomorrow put an end to that.

Passing the now-redundant Littleworth signal box this morning: 47 802 on the rear just ticking over. Good few members of the public came out to see too.

It wasn't so long ago that box was operational and the line was semaphore signalling. Within five years, actually... hidden behind the train is Littleworth Station, now in commercial use.

Left Peterborough station RT. Steady bark as 44871 pulled away unaided from platform 4, acceleration seeming laboured with the deadweight on the rear. When the train was half-way out of the platform there was a slight wheelslip, caught well by the driver (the rails were damp due to a recent shower). The 5 regained its feet and continued to work hard to pick up speed. When the rear of the train was 50 yards clear of the platform there was a great belch of fumes as the 47 kicked in and accelerated the train away. Mmmm......

LMS 5MT No.44871 is seen hauling a 'Steam Dreams Excursion' on the 26th May 2019, seen passing Brotherton, near Ferrybridge Power Station.

Unfortunately, I suspect this shot will once again be lost in the not too distant future, only 3 years ago the lineside was cleared but has sprung back up again.

According to RTT it was 7 late leaving Peterborough, so it's safe to say that the driver called for a bit of assistance to get up to speed to avoid losing more time.

Certainly an enjoyable day with Steam Dreams for the first time, with our coach being the second behind the engine meaning an amazing sound track, and the return was smooth and speedy. Only down side which wasn't SD fault was a squeeky loud talking passenger in our coach, who we ended up knowing so much about without asking. Also I didn't realize it's now an offence to lean out of the window (SD brochure on the train said so), this is true, as I thought it was just discouraged?
