    6233 update.

During todays water stop at Rugby, The engine's motion and axle boxes were felt round and found the Right Trailing bogie axle box was very warm. The engine was made safe and a support crew member went under and removed the under keep to check the pad and thrust face felts, it was found that we had sightly pulled the white metal from the thrust face, which had put a small layer over the thrust face felts. The decision was taken to cancel the move to Southall and to move the locomotive and support coach to the carriage siding out of the way so that futher examination could take place. This evening our support crew assistance the engineer in carrying out repairs to enable us to return the engine back to the West Shed where we can remove the offending axle box.

Will the trailing pony truck wheels need dropping out of the frames to get to the axleboxes to remetal the bearing journal? (Question What is the white metal used in axleboxes anyone on nat pres is it silver or lead to metal the bronze bearings i only ask this because im also a sponsering member of the L.M.S. Patriot group and seen the 3 month report their having problems with on their loco and the brass bearing halves may need remaking or milling again on the patriots wheelsets. I read this thread last night about 46233.

44871 and 60103 currently stopped on up slow just before Langley Junction, near Stevenage. Nothing in front on the mainline, and there's nothing on the branch due to driver shortages. Very odd.

Plenty of admirers out today, more than I've seen before at same location north of Sandy what with it being half term I guess with enthusiasts being hugely outnumbered by those getting their info via FarceBook. I hope for all our sakes that the idiot-brigade weren't out in force as of recent events with FS.

Passed Gospel Oak in the end two early as it didn't require pathing stop at Camden Road.

Will add very brief video later which more for the record than anything special.

First a bit of the new order at Gospel Oak.

and the Days of Future Past as the Moody Blues might say.

Nothing moving East or West of Ealing Broadway due to 'trespass in the Hanwell area.
Think it's rather more than 'trespass', sadly.

Sad if true but I don't think linked to FS as delays started well before it was due through.
