Request for Whitworth Spanners - Where did I read it?

    I read it somewhere. It could have been on here or it might have been on one of the Sites/Blogs for a Loco owning group.

    It was a request if anyone could donate larger sized Whitworth spanners.

    If anyone knows of the request then I believe Toddington have some surplus amongst their general stock.

    Yes it's us withe Patriot. We've had some now up to 1 1/2 inch whitworth but the loco goes up to 2 inches whitworth so we're still wanting a few more. The other thing we're still after is some whitworth sockets of sizes above 7/8 whitworth. Thank you to all of those who have helped us so far.

    I'd suggest you send a email to Admin at the GWSR. Mark for attention of.......................I'm not sure of any names................just Loco Dept surplus tools - someone will sort it out.

    Just to jump in on this.
    The PW OTM and wagon fleet gang at Newbridge on the NYMR, will take any breed of Socket or spanner as we use all types.
    Whitworth, AF or even Metric.
    Drop them off when passing they will be appreciated.
