That is what the RTC website says.

Beware though pure steam fans as the ecs for this train reverses at Reading and Guildford so will be top and tailed DLs. The front loco at BTM goes ahead to Taunton but last time we did this trip the rear 47 stayed on the train and pushed on Whiteball

I think the tour also reverses at Westbury as well, although no idea why it is there for 19 minutes and thus then follows a stopper.

    Good afternoon,

Please can anyone tell me where the engine will be taking on water in the outward journey.

    Thank you.

With a 5,000 gallon tender capacity I wonder if they will take water anywhere..
    Taunton 12 min stop
    Dawlish Warren 12 min stop
    Newton Abbot 14 min stop
Thats all the stops allocated so Im wondering and Im no expert, whether No9 will need water..
It certainly wont on the way back..

No.9 is booked to use platform 2 at Taunton which is the closest to the car park if a top up of water is required. The 1V46 York to Plymouth is booked to use the island platform.

Unfortunately I won't be able to see the train as where I am at present it's 29 degrees C !!

Is that when the 47 failed at Taunton and had to be shunted into the sidings by 34046/52 ?and yes the other 47 did remain on the back

That was a Dartmouth trip but the one before last I think. I believe last year there may have been an issue whilst on the P&DR.

Booked on this since its 60009 and not ever been behind an A4 before! I thought it had retired to be honest I assume there's a few more months yet before her career on the mainline is at an end?

Also L/E move from East Lancs today appears to be cancelled, is 60009 already at Bristol or coming from elsewhere?

Ah thank you very much! Looked at the original path to see it was cancelled, then looked on RealTimeTrains at Bristol T.M and Bristol Parkway to see if there was alternative paths, no wonder I couldn't find it as it goes through none of those locations :D

Would have been sensible if I tried Filton Abbey Wood or Narroways Jn really!
