Apologies if this is a duplicate but the search didn't show one.

Does anybody have any RTT timings for these please? I still haven't got the hang of RTT searches.

    Thanks.

Good luck finding any locations on the branch, the line is a complete jungle, The viaduct at Coalbrookdale will be heaving as local news have told everybody from Telford, Wellington, Wolverhampton and of course Ironbridge. The BTP have also issued a warning, and certain area's will be monitored. Expecting Scotsman hype, would rather be travelling than be on the lineside,

'Spent a large chunk of last Sunday killing myself up and down the hills confirming there's no brief glimpses through trees etc. The line is effectively enclosed in a line of undergrowth each side, and even the footcrossings/footbridges have undergrowth preventing anything other than head-on views (which is painful from a footcrossing! Lol ;) ). Then to top it off, Notwork Rail publish a press release, distributed by the Stroppy Star, announcing to the world it's taking place and telling people to go to the one place there is a view of the line, meaning potentially a whole section of people who wouldn't have otherwise even known about it happening are potentially going to be heading out (and thus NR are potentially causing problems for themselves that wouldn't have otherwise been there). I fear even the views at the viaduct are likely to be compromised with a load of people (with of course the likes of myself just making it worse!).

...is it unreasonable to hope for lashings of heavy rain all morning, following by two brief bursts of sunshine at just the critical moments?!! :D

I can vouch for that having tried to record the branch before the power station traffic ended. Parking space too is very limited in the Coalbrookdake area, and you'll be lucky to find a bus - service 19 from Telford doesn't run on a Sunday and the park and ride / Gorge Connect services aren't due to run on Sunday.

Ten years ago the viaduct area was very popular when the two panniers visited, the best option would be to just accept the inevitable onlookers as part of the scene.

    Passing Walcot enroute to Shrewsbury...

Run 1 - with no pushing from the back (47 very much purring on tick-over, Castle slowly clawing up the gradient with sharp crisp exhaust)

Run 2 - with help from behind, the 47 noticably working as it came past and the train going at a noticeably swifter pace than the first time

BIG wave :) to the two friendly crew of the diesel giving a cheerful wave as it passes through Hadley station enroute back to Wellington

...before finally Clun Castle races up the bank towards Cosford

    The last time ?

Just after half past three this afternoon Clun Castle climbs through Coalbrookdale passing the Museum of Iron (the birthplace of industry) on the viaduct across Upper Furnace pool.
We will have to wait and see if that turns out to be the last steam to Ironbridge.

There is fly-ash, sand and grvel at the power station site which could be removed by rail if the Albert Edward bridge can be made fit and Telford Steam railway would like to gain access to this part of the branch but that is for a different thread.

    A Thingy...
Went for a quick gander before boarding the second run today, disrupting the rowing club's Sunday row in the process (they seemed alright about me being there). There's a few trees growing on it, as well as a fence, possibly demarcating property rights. Floreat Salopia and all that...
