For those it may help, data from what I believe to be the same post, but shrunken into easier to read form in the attached PDF.

Still not left Ruislip. Departure imminent it seems though.

Hope it's not that late tomorrow. Have a date with a Harvard (hopefully) tomorrow afternoon so can only do the morning ecs before heading off elsewhere.

Glad I checked - was wondering where it was from Barons Court!

Thanks for the link; very interesting.

No steam after 2021 is of course very disappointing. The argument is that, although running north of Harrow would still be possible, fitting LU's particular variety of in-cab signalling to a steam loco would be hopelesly uneconomic, and a loco without that would not be able to reach Harrow from the Ruislip or Neasden depots.
BUT ― why not run in from Quainton Road? Steam at one end, diesel at the other.
Then do some combination of Amersham / Watford / Harrow as in the past. And/or include runs from/to Marylebone.

Is the steam facing Ruislip depot or Rayners Lane on that bit? I’d a also like to know if there is an RTT equivalent for the tube that I could track the service with, avoiding leaving some elderly people waiting 105 minutes for it!

Apparently a broken shoe beam on Sarah Siddons was the reason for the late departure on the ECS this morning. They seemed to make up a bit of time on the last run to High St Ken so that by the end they were around an hour late. Locos and stock looked fantastic, credit to all the owning groups.

Can recommend the bridge just north of Ealing Common station for any videographers, the crew on Met 1 today seemed willing to open it right up coming out of the station on the 2nd and 3rd trips!

Yes, steam leads the return ECS to Ruislip Depot.

I think this is the bridge you mean. This was the much delayed empty stock after reversing in the depot. It's at the start of the sharp climb to get over the GW Mainline

Yep, that's the one. That's a nice shot, I did it slightly later in the day once the sun had come round to the opposite side.

It was down to the can do attitude of the Test Train Team that organise these runs that got Sarah Siddons operational again after the damage was found. Hopefully a trouble free run tomorrow.

    Regards,

I assume the comment I read in one pre event report about access to some stations being restricted was fake news. With no District Line engineering closure difficult to see how you could stop someone using their Oyster or buying a travel ticket to access a station. How would you know they were not getting on a service train after the steam passed?

Quite the opposite I was let through at Ealing Common this morning without having to use my card when I explained what I was doing

I think technically LU do not allow tripods but usually OK during steam events if sensible. I did experience a similar issue at Ruislip Manor during the Uxbridge event a few years back.

There's always one. Back in Steam on the Met days there was one guy who tried to eject me from Chorleywood because I had my dog with me. He also was having a go at anyone with a tripod.
