A bit of a long shot, but does anyone know where I might get a buffer stop? A good friend of mine is leading a team restoring a community garden at Gypsy Hill station. He'd like to include a buffer stop as a reminder of the railway heritage of the site. Any and all leads appreciated. Thanks, Dan

Washwood Heath sidings are being ripped up at moment. There is one on its own glorious isolation in the middle of the yard. Try contacting Railtrack or whatever they are called now. Would have thought many of the Preservation lines might have a spare. They might be worth approaching.

Try Network Rail disposals or London Transport.

They are rather heavy, though ...
You will probably need a lorry with a hiab arm lift to recover and position it.
