That will make the 37 growl out of Lime Street, with 12 on and Lizzie. :)

Don't forget the steam loco will be manned so you might well see a total reverse situation of what steam fans on here have often debated e.g wet conditions and a type 3 engine leaving Lime St in the evening with the equivalent of up to load 14 (???) uphill! Recall one the same leaving there 11 years ago with 10 carriages and what should have a dead 47 at either end. The rear most loco had to be manned and work very hard to allow the knackered EWS 37 to get out of Lime St without some disruption to anything else.

PS Lime St only used to be good for 11 carriages top n'tailed (not seen it since remodelling) although in BR days an 08 could take 12 in off Edge Hill and stick a diesel/electric on or indeed the box would just let it overhang, neither of which would happen in 2019 there.

Regardless whether it is Lizzie or Class 37, it will hard work hard for the departure from the loop as it is half way up a good climb to Thatto Heath and Eccleston Park.

Even with a torrential downpour at Helwith Bridge, Lizzie still stole the show in regards to noise and exhaust. Tornado was quicker with a coach less.

In heavy rain that began just as the train appeared and stopped immediately after it had passed, 6201 and the Cumbrian Mountain Express pass through Horton-in-Ribblesdale station.
