Swanage Railway General Discussion

To be honest when I saw the chain ferry discussion take off I skipped it....

 

I'm making my first visit to the railway tomorrow. Does anybody know which engines are rostered tomorrow?

Good news, saw on the realtimes site West Coast has some non advertised diesel trains from Swanage to Wareham return, are these for testing and training on the 121?

They may well get used as such but I think they are the Q paths that were there last summer (removed around this time) and have been there this to allow the Wareham service to operate if needed.

 

Out of interest with the possible closer approach of a Wareham service is Wool still the diversion point in case of points failure at Worgret (and hence SR drivers will have to sign for that part of the line as well as WCRC did a couple of years ago) or are the Wareham sidings now an allowed diversion in times of Force Majeure?

I’m assuming that the 117 is soon to be brought back to Swanage as well? Does anyone know if the bubble car is fully mainline certified now and ready to go? Hopefully some staff training can finally start now.
